Welcome to Lakeshore Gardens Senior Community!

We are located off of the 5 freeway at Poinsettia and Avenida Encinas in Carlsbad which is North San Diego County, California. There are 384 homes inside of our gated community, nestled in a 54 acre park with 10 freshwater lakes and expansive greenbelts.

Our communities mission is to promote the welfare and well being of our senior residents by sponsoring social functions, providing health and educational seminars and a variety of exercise programs. Some of which are: Water Aerobics, Zumba, Yoga, Tai Chi, Resident Mixers, Holiday Events, Mah Jongg, Poker, Dominoes, Bingo, Texas Hold’em, Watercolor Classes and Paint & Sip.

Lakeshore Gardens also has a well appointed gym, billiard room, indoor shuffle board table and a ping pong table. Our large barbeque area is right beside the oversized firepit & fireplace with comfortable seating for those cool San Diego evenings, to lounge and enjoy with friends.

Carlsbad is a wonderful place to live. We are best known for Legoland. It is an amusement and water park designed with the emphasis for children, so of course it’s a big hit with our grandchildren. We have flower fields that are absolutely breath taking during the months of April and May and we have the wonderful Carlsbad Outlet Mall with most name brands discounted yearly.

Our community is less than a 2 minute bike ride or 10 minute walk to South Carlsbad State Beach. There is craft beer & pizza made to order with live entertainment from Wednesday to Sunday during most of the year. It is a great place to invite friends, relax and watch a beautiful California sunset.

The Poinsettia Train Station is a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive from our community. The Coaster will take you to the Del Mar horse races in the spring and fall or to the San Diego County Fair in June & July. It also goes to downtown San Diego so you can watch the Padres games live, if you like.

The City of Carlsbad has granted our community special access to drive our golf carts across the street and into the shopping mall, where there is a plethora of shops. Some include: Ralphs grocery, Rite Aid pharmacy, Salon Spa Suites with a variety of salon services, Starbucks, Jersey Mikes, Pelly’s Fish Market, Primo’s Pizza & Pasta, & other restaurants and fast food options. We also have a veterinarian clinic, Carlsbad Pet & Feed, UPS shipping store, Sherman Williams, dry cleaners, several banks, dentist services as well as several exercise studios. Pretty much anything you need is right across the street.
